Dr. Charles Oladimeji has experience spanning over three decades in the development of an appropriate Capacity Development strategy for organizations in both the public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Between 1979 and 1993 he worked as a senior officer in United Bank of Africa Plc and in various capacities within the Banking and Financial Services industry and on the Human Resource and Training functions. He rose to the position of a Senior Manager (Manpower Development) in United Bank for Africa and voluntarily retired in 1993 to join Devcom Merchant Bank as Head of HR/Administration. He was in Devcom between 1993 and 1994. Between 1995 and 1999, he was a Senior Consultant at Professional Associates Limited (a group of Management Consultants) serving the financial and manufacturing sectors of Nigeria. Charles is a well known programme facilitator/trainer and capacity development strategist. He joined the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria in 2000 and retired as the Director, Training and Conference Planning, in 2008.
At the CIPMN where he was in charge of training consultancy for various organizations for over 8 years, his experience at developing employees covered both the Public and Private sectors of the economy. Charles is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) and the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). For many years, his directorate at the CIPMN was responsible for events such as the HR forum, the Annual Public Lecture and the Annual National Conference which is the annual congregation of Human Resource Professionals in Nigeria.
He worked as the Director, Capacity Building, Nigerian Institute of Management, (NIM) between 2010 and 2011. He was responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of the Institute’s yearly local Learning and Development/Consultancy Programmes, spanning Finance and Accounting, General Management, Operations/Project Management, Sales/Marketing Management, Human Resource Management and Information and Communication Technology. In addition, he was in charge of designing, marketing and coordinating the Institute’s Overseas Top Executive Leadership Programmes organized in collaboration with top class Business Schools in the UK, USA, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
